A client, soon to be relocating to Cambridge is seeking a professional and experienced House Manager to assist with the organisation of their family and family home.
Responsibilities of the House Manager will be varied and include the family’s and children’s personal affairs, overseeing the family’s home and managing household staff, travel, property.
You will be required to recruite and manage other private staff and service contractors, oversee and support the smooth-running of the whole household including but not limited to general housekeeping and organization, repairs and maintenance, kitchen and pantry operation, laundry and wardrobe management, procurement and inventory control and training of staff. In addition you will manage household budgets and schedules, coordinate and handle personal requests and ensure preferences and standards are met and maintained in all areas at all times.
As a Household Manager you will have experience in planning and making extensive local and international travel arrangements, planning, organizing and coordinating events and other social activities, managing diaries for private families who are dynamic and constantly on the go, taking care of pets, receiving guests and visitors, shopping and running of errands for private families and their households
You should have excellent organisational and time management skills, good written and spoken communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, a calm and professional manner, be dynamic in approach, excellent computer and administration skills, a flexible and adaptable approach to work, the ability to use your own initiative with tact and discretion for dealing with confidential information and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure the client’s needs are being met. Full UK driver’s licence is required.
Candidates will need to reside within a commutable distance to the family home or be willing to relocate. Accommodation could be provided.
The working schedule is Monday – Friday, working approximately 45 hours per week, with flexibility required.
Salary is £50,000 – £70,000 gross per annum. A self employed proposal may be made.
