A British/Russian family located in Colchester is seeking a highly experienced, qualified and professional Governess/Teacher to provide a homeschooling environment for their young son aged 6.

The young boy has been out of school for some time due to Covid and has been learning online. The family is really happy with the progress he has made during this time and now wishes for him to be home-schooled full-time.

The young boy was born premature and has some delays with meeting his milestones, he currently attends physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language sessions. You will be required to assist him with his development and provide support.

As a Governess/Teacher your main responsibilities will be to plan and provide structured classes, fun and engaging activities and interactive sessions in line with the British curriculum. In addition to this, you will be required to meet all his basic daily needs (preparing meals, ensuring his room and clothes are prepared daily).

The family will travel during the year and you will be expected to travel with them for long periods at a time.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS) with previous experience of working in a private household along with experience of homeschooling and achieving good results with children of this age.

This is a live-in/out position with separate accommodation provided. During travel, you will be required to live in the large family home.

The working schedule will be 5 days on 2 days off (weekends off). The working hours will be approximately 8-10 hours per day.
