Full-time – Teacher (live out)

Full-time English-speaking Teacher required for B5 & B6, located in Stourbridge, UK, £1,300 – £1,800 gross per week. Start ASAP

A fun position has arisen for a professional homeschooling Teacher to join a lovely family in Stourbridge to meet the educational needs of their two young boys.

The family will be embarking on a new educational experience of homeschooling for their children and is seeking a qualified Teacher to support them academically. The children have been attending a top school following Steiner education.
As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a full and enhanced personalised educational plan following Montessori/Steiner methods.

This is a lovely opportunity for a Teacher to step away from the formal classroom environment and use the world, environment, and culture around them to educate the children. The family lives on a large farm and actively encourages their children to spend as much time outdoors as possible, incorporating nature, practical experiences, and outdoor learning into their daily routine. The family is seeking a schedule that includes formal lessons, project work, excursions, extracurricular activities, play, and games to promote the children’s learning and development.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible, energetic, kind, and well-mannered. The Teacher must have an open-minded approach to education and be able to personalise learning for each child, bringing out the best in their students. Speaking an additional language of Punjabi, Gurmukhi, or Sanskrit will be beneficial to your application.

The family will travel internationally, and the Teacher must be confident adapting lessons to different environments, making each location a new learning experience and linking learning to the children’s interests. The Teacher will hold a PGCE and have extensive knowledge and experience teaching this age range.

The working schedule will be 40 hours per week, working Monday – Friday. Flexibility around hours and schedule is required. The first part of each day will follow a more formal approach with lessons, while afternoons will be fun and educational.

This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided and is therefore only suitable for candidates within a commutable distance.

The salary on offer for this role is £1,300 – £1,800 gross per week.
