Full-time – Close Protection Officer (live in)

Full-time Close Protection Officer required for a client located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, salary 27,000–35,000 AED per month, accommodation provided. Start January 2027.

A private household based in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an experienced and highly professional Close Protection Officer to provide personal security and day-to-day protection for the Principal and wider family.

The role will support the Principal across both private and professional commitments, and the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high level of security during daily movements, business meetings, appointments, social engagements, family activities and international travel.

As a Close Protection Officer, you will be expected to maintain a discreet but highly observant presence, identifying potential risks and responding appropriately while allowing the Principal and family to continue their day-to-day lives and professional commitments with minimal disruption.

Duties will include secure journey planning, route and risk assessment, vehicle checks, advance site assessments, monitoring environments, access control and coordinating closely with household staff, drivers, business personnel, external security teams and other relevant parties. You will also accompany the Principal and family during international travel, ensuring appropriate security measures and smooth logistics across different locations and environments.

The role will involve time within both the family and business environments, so the successful candidate should be personable, adaptable and confident communicating with a wide range of individuals. As there will also be regular interaction with children, candidates should be comfortable around younger family members and able to build trust naturally while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

The ideal candidate will have proven previous experience working as a Close Protection Officer, ideally supporting UHNW, high-profile or senior private individuals across both personal and business settings. You should demonstrate excellent situational awareness, judgement and communication skills and remain calm, discreet and composed under pressure.

A full driving licence is essential, and candidates must be confident and experienced drivers. 

The working schedule will be 5 days per week, approximately 8 -10 hours per day. Flexibility will be required around the family’s schedule and particularly during periods of international travel.

Accommodation will either be provided or an accommodation allowance will be offered.

The position is due to commence in January 2027, although the family may consider an earlier start for an exceptional candidate.

Requirements:
Fluent English speaker
Previous Close Protection Officer experience
Experience supporting UHNW or high-profile individuals highly desirable
Excellent situational awareness and risk assessment skills
Full driving licence and confident driver

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working around children
Flexible and willing to travel internationally
