Full-time English-speaking SEN Nanny/Governess required in Chicago, USA, for B9. Salary $1800 – $2200 gross per week. Start 1st September. Live-out.
This position is only suitable for candidates who hold a USA passport or Green Card.
An American family is seeking a highly experienced SEN Nanny/Governess to support the care and development of their 9-year-old son who has ADHD and Autism.
As a SEN Nanny/Governess, your main duties will include supporting the boy’s daily routines and ensuring his needs are met. Working closely with his therapists, parents, and school, setting firm boundaries, and assisting with his behavioural needs. Encouraging development through educational activities, sourcing educational materials, and planning fun and engaging activities.
In addition, you will act as a positive role model to the boy, guiding him where needed, promoting good manners. You must hold outstanding communication skills and be firm and fun for the young boy to thrive.
The family is looking for a Nanny/Governess to stay with them long-term and help the boy flourish and grow into a young man.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and enthusiastic professional with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a SEN Nanny or Governess, specifically with children of a similar age group. A formal qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential, along with proven, hands-on experience supporting children with ADHD and Autism. A valid driver’s license is also a requirement for this position.
This is a live-out position with accommodation provided close to the family home.
International travel required.
The working schedule will be 5 days per week, working Monday–Friday for 8-10 hours per day.
