The Role
Full-time English-speaking Tutor/PA required in Essex, UK, for B16. Salary £80,000 – £100,000 gross per annum. Live-in/Live-out. Start 31st August.
A lovely family based in Chigwell, Essex, is seeking a highly experienced, qualified Tutor/PA to support the education, organisation and personal development of their 16-year-old son.
As a Tutor/PA, your primary responsibility will be to provide academic guidance and day-to-day support as the young man progresses through his A-Levels and begins preparing for university. You will offer homework support across the British curriculum, liaise with his school and teachers, assist with school administration, manage his academic schedule and ensure deadlines, coursework and commitments are well organised.
Alongside the educational element, this is a companion and life management role. You will act as a positive mentor, helping him develop independence, confidence and strong life skills as he transitions into adulthood. You will manage his diary, coordinate extracurricular activities, accompany him to appointments and activities, provide encouragement and structure, and assist with general life administration to ensure he remains organised and on track.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher holding a PGCE/QTS or equivalent, with proven experience teaching A-Level students within the British curriculum. Previous experience working within a private household is essential.
The family travels internationally throughout the year, and you will be required to accompany them on trips.
The family has two dogs, therefore being a pet lover is essential for this role.
This is a live-out or live-in position, with accommodation provided for candidates not within a commutable distance. A car will also be available for use.
The working schedule will be Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Flexibility is required.
Package:
Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 gross per annum
6-day working schedule

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher (PGCE/QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching A-Level students within the British curriculum
Previous private household experience
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Warm, engaging and able to build a positive mentoring relationship
Experience supporting teenagers through A-Levels and university preparation
Full, clean driving licence
Available to start 31st August
