Full-time – Rota Governess (live out)

Full-time English & French-speaking Rota Governess required in Cyprus for three children, Salary €50,000 – €60,000 gross per annum, start April/May.

A warm and loving single-father household based in Cyprus is seeking an exceptional Rota Governess to support three children (aged 10, 5, and 4). This is a dynamic, growth-oriented, and nurturing environment that requires a professional committed to holistic child development.

The Governess will be responsible for meeting the children’s daily needs within an already well-established routine, providing a consistently high standard of care and educational support in a refined home environment. Academic guidance will be balanced with artistic expression, emotional presence, social development, and a thoughtful, outdoors-focused approach that reflects a genuine passion for nature and the environment. The ideal candidate understands the importance of emotional attunement and will help the children feel seen, inspired, and secure as they grow. strong emphasis is placed on nature-based learning, with the Governess developing weekly practices that include walks, beach adventures, gardening, and hands-on exploration of plants and wildlife. Through these experiences, the children will be encouraged to observe the natural world with curiosity and respect, learn how to care for it, and draw inspiration and insight from it. Nature will also be integrated into creative and educational activities, enriching art projects, storytelling, and learning through real-world discovery.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, active, and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for the outdoors and the environment. She will hold relevant childcare or educational qualifications and have solid experience working as a professional Governess in high-profile private households, ideally within rota roles. The successful candidate will blend educational guidance with creativity, emotional intelligence, and a strong connection to nature. The role calls for someone who can cultivate curiosity, spark imagination, and guide the children in becoming confident, grounded, and joyful individuals.

International travel will be required.

This is a live-out position with a private apartment provided for when on/off shift.

The working schedule is 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, covering 24/7. 

This position is only suitable for candidates happy to relocate to Cyprus, as no flights will be provided at the beginning or end of each shift.
