The Role
Full-time English-speaking Governess required for three children, B6, G9 and G11, located in Kensington, London. Salary £60,000 – £80,000 gross per annum, live-in or live-out, starting August.
A family located in Kensington, London is seeking a highly experienced English-speaking Governess to join their team and act as lead for the children’s education.
As a Governess, you will be responsible for supporting the children’s educational development and academic progress. The role will involve overseeing and working closely with a team of tutors, ensuring all homework is completed to a high standard, liaising with school teachers, and maintaining clear communication around the children’s learning needs and targets.
You will provide structured educational support, assist with schoolwork, help organise academic schedules, and create engaging learning activities to build confidence and encourage continued progress. A key focus of the role will be preparation for the 7+ and 11+ examinations, ensuring the children are supported with appropriate study routines, revision, and exam-focused learning.
The ideal candidate will be an established Governess with a proven track record of working in educationally focused roles. Being a qualified teacher is essential for this role, along with being a confident driver, as you will be responsible for taking and collecting the children from school each day.
The family travels internationally, and you will be required to travel with them.
The salary on offer is £60,000 – £80,000 gross per annum.
This is a live-in position with a private bedroom provided within the family home, or live-out for candidates located close by.
The working schedule is Monday – Friday, working up to 8 hours per day.
