Full-time English-speaking Governess required in San Francisco, USA for G2. Salary $120,000 – $160,000+ gross per annum. Live-in. Start ASAP.
A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced Governess to join their household to support the care, education, and overall development of their young daughter aged 2.
As a Governess, you will take the lead in the child’s educational and personal development, creating a stimulating and nurturing environment where she can flourish. Through engaging, play-based learning and carefully planned activities, you will support her language, social, emotional, and cognitive development while fostering independence, confidence, and curiosity. As a trusted mentor and positive role model, you will help ensure she thrives in every aspect of her upbringing, instilling European manners, etiquette, and excellent social skills naturally throughout her daily routine and at every appropriate opportunity.
The family is keen to find a candidate with a second language of French, Italian, or Spanish.
The family home is fully staffed with a House Manager, housekeepers, chefs, and 24/7 security. The successful candidate must be a strong team player who is able to work collaboratively within a professional household environment.
The ideal candidate will be an established Governess who is fluent in a second language of French, Italian, or Spanish, with solid experience working in schools, as well as a love of travel and a positive outlook on life. The role is most suited to a qualified teacher holding a relevant teaching degree or MA. Holding a green card or work permit is preferred; visa assistance can be provided for the right candidate.
The working schedule will be 5 days per week with 2 days off, working up to 12 hours per day from 7:00 am. The child has a daily nap of approximately 2.5 hours, during which downtime will be provided. Flexibility is required during periods of travel and for the occasional morning at weekends.

This is a live-in position with a self-contained apartment provided within the family home.

Requirements:
Experienced bilingual Governess (English & French/Spanish/Italian)
Qualified Teacher or Early Years qualification preferred
Green Card holder
Fluent in either French, Italian, or Spanish
Passionate about mentoring and fostering confidence, independence, and excellent manners
Solid previous experience working in schools
Available to start ASAP
