Full-time – Housekeeper (live out)

Full-time Housekeeper required for a family of three, located in Miami, USA. Salary $70,000–$100,000 gross per annum, live-out. Start ASAP. 

A friendly private family based in Miami is seeking an experienced, capable and highly discreet Housekeeper to take responsibility for the daily care and organisation of their three-bedroom apartment. The household consists of two adults, one boy aged 10 and a family dog.

As the Housekeeper, you will ensure the property remains consistently clean, tidy and well organised. Duties will include general housekeeping, cleaning all rooms to a high standard, making and changing beds, managing the family’s laundry and arranging dry cleaning when required.

You will be responsible for the careful management of the family’s clothing, including handwashing delicate items, pressing garments and ensuring expensive and high-end pieces are appropriately cared for and stored. Previous experience handling luxury fabrics and specialist garments is essential.

Additional duties will include grocery shopping, ensuring household cupboards remain well stocked and managing the contents of the fridge and freezer so that food is stored correctly and rotated regularly. The parents enjoy cooking themselves; however, you will assist with food preparation and prepare simple, healthy meals for the 10-year-old boy when required.

The role will also include responsibility for the family dog, including daily walks and ensuring regular grooming appointments are arranged and maintained. You may occasionally be required to collect the boy from his school bus stop. He attends school from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The family is seeking someone they can trust implicitly and build a long-term working relationship with. They expect to move into a larger home next year, and the successful candidate will transition with them, confidently adapting to the increased responsibilities involved in managing a larger property.

As trust develops, the Housekeeper may also be required to provide occasional proxy parenting when the parents travel. 

The family is warm, friendly and approachable but values privacy when at home. The successful candidate must be highly discreet and understand when to give the family space, using their initiative to remain productive in other areas of the property.

The working schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am – 4 pm, with some Saturdays required. Reasonable flexibility will be required depending on the family’s needs.

The salary on offer is $70,000–$100,000 gross per annum.

This is a live-out position. Candidates must have their own accommodation in Miami, ideally located close to the family’s home (South of Fifth).
