Full-time – SEN Teacher (live out)

Full-time French-speaking Homeschool Teacher required for G9, located in London, UK. Salary £60,000 – £70,000 gross per annum. Live-out. Start ASAP

A family based in North London is seeking a highly experienced, qualified and compassionate French Homeschool Teacher to oversee the education and development of their nine-year-old daughter, who has down syndrome.

The family is looking for an experienced educator who can provide a personalised, nurturing and engaging learning environment, following the French curriculum and adapting lessons to suit the child’s individual learning needs, abilities and pace of development.

As a Homeschool Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering lessons in line with the French curriculum, creating a structured and stimulating educational programme that supports the girl’s academic progress and overall development. You will adapt teaching methods and resources to make learning accessible and enjoyable, encouraging her confidence, independence, communication and curiosity. You will monitor her progress, identify areas requiring additional support and develop tailored learning strategies to help her achieve her individual educational goals.

You will also incorporate practical, creative and project-based learning opportunities, educational outings and activities that support her understanding of the world around her. Alongside her academic development, you will encourage positive social skills, good manners, independence and age-appropriate life skills, creating a supportive environment in which she can flourish.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Teacher with experience delivering the French curriculum and a strong understanding of supporting children with additional learning needs. Previous experience working with children with down syndrome or similar developmental needs is essential.

The working schedule will be 5/2 working 8 am – 6 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and 8.4 pm Wendesday and Friday. During school holidays, the schedule may be adjusted to accommodate the educational programme.

International travel with the family will be required.

This is a live-out position, suitable for candidates based locally in London. No accommodation will be provided.

Requirements:
Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching qualifications
French-speaking Teacher
Experience teaching the French curriculum
Experience supporting children with down syndrome or similar developmental needs highly advantageous
Patient, adaptable and engaging teaching approach
Right to work in the UK
