The Role
Full-time French-speaking Head Governess required for two children aged 1 & 6 located in Kuwait, salary £1500 – £1800 per week. Start ASAP.
A family based in Kuwait is in search of an intelligent, hard-working, and passionate Head Governess to assist in the education and development of their two children and oversee a team of Nannies already in place.
As Head Governess, you will take the lead on the children’s upbringing, education, and overall development. You will create and deliver activities and promote learning at every possible opportunity. You will be required to oversee the other nannies and staff working with the children, providing assistance and guidance as needed. Additionally, you will liaise with schools and other household staff to ensure the children are raised to the highest possible standards, promoting good behaviour and etiquette.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Head Governess, fluent in French, and holding relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE/QTS) with extensive experience working with children of this age. Previous experience in private households is desirable. Being presentable, respectful, and professional is essential for success in this role, along with strong management and interpersonal skills. The family is ideally looking for a candidate who can act as a great role model for the children and team, leading on all childcare matters.
The working schedule will be 6/1 with Sundays off, working up to 12 hours per day.
This is a live-in/out role, with accommodation options available to be discussed.
