Full-time English-speaking Governess / Governor required for B7 & B5, located in Tivat, Montenegro. Salary €1300 – €1800 per week. Start ASAP.
A high-profile family based in Tivat is looking for a qualified and experienced English-speaking Governess / Governor for their sons aged 7 & 5 years old to assist in their learning and development.
As a Governess / Governor, you will be required to immerse the children in the English language through structured and planned games, activities, and play. You will be responsible for meeting the daily needs of the children with routines and offer learning at every opportunity. The educational focus will be to help the children master the international school program and develop and improve their communication skills in English. The children’s native language is Russian and they already have a good level of English language & experience of learning with English speakers. The boys are well-mannered, positive, and motivated, they attend the British school, where they are also learning Montenegrin.
You'll mostly work with the older boy, the younger boy will join in periodically. You will be responsible for creating and monitoring their educational program and extracurricular activities and will be expected to liaise with parents, tutors, school teachers and coaches. You will monitor the timely completion of homewor and escort the boys from school, during walks and to additional activities, promote good behaviour, teach etiquette, and be a positive role model. The older boy is well-developed, motivated, does extra chess, maths, art and plays rugby. The boy has some allergies which may require the administration of an epi pen. Any training will be required should it be needed.
The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching qualifications and experience working with this age group in private households. A solid understanding of early years and primary education is required. The candidate will be an enthusiastic, friendly, optimistic, responsible & flexible professional teacher, who can engage the children in a fun and relaxed manner. The candidate will need to be not only a mentor but become a friend to the boys, share their sport and other interests, and build a trusting relationship with them. Ability to speak & teach the other language would be beneficial.
The working schedule can be 5 days on / 2 days off or 6 days on / 1 day off, working approximately 40-50 hours per week. Days off could be provided on Monday and / or Wednesday. During the week hours will be from 1 pm to 9 pm and weekends from 10 or 11 am to 7 pm). Flexibility is required.
The family is located in Tivat, Montenegro within walking distance from School and other boys' activities. The household is fully staffed. The family has a small dog.
This is a live-out position with private apartment provided near the family home.
The salary on offer is €1300 – €1800 per week and is negotiable depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate.
