Full-time – Governess (live in/out)

Full-time English-speaking Governess required for twins G8 & B7 located on the outskirts of Moscow, £4000 – £4300 per month. Start ASAP

A Russian-speaking family is seeking a qualified, professional,  experienced and energetic Governess for their 7-year-old son and twin girls nearly 9 years old to assist in their care, learning and development. 

As a Governess you will be responsible for the children’s education, supporting their current schooling programmes, offering further mentoring, educational development, homework assistance and extracurricular activities. You will be required to encourage them to be as independent as possible with their learning and to promote a positive attitude toward self-development, organise routines and accompany the children to and from school and clubs. 

All three children attending the International school have a good understanding of the English language and are learning French. The Governess will be required to further develop and improve the children’s English skills through daily interaction and activities, and, more importantly, will be responsible for their cultural development and learning beyond school. Therefore knowledge in such fields as culture, music, history or sport will be beneficial in your application

The Governess will act as an appropriate role model/mentor to the children and promote good manners, teach etiquette and a healthy lifestyle. You will work alongside a Russian Nanny to ensure all needs of the children are met. You will assist with wake up, dressing, mealtimes, cleanliness and bedtimes.

The ideal candidate will have an energetic and intelligent nature who is responsible and confident in being a sole carer, if required. A friendly and caring personality is essential to build a long-lasting bond and trust with the charges. Educational qualifications are desirable for the position along with previous experience of working in private households. The ability to speak a second language would be beneficial. 

The working schedule is 5 days working and 2 days off (both days of the weekend are full working days). The working hours will be from 8 am to assist with the school run and commence again from 11 am/1pm depending on the schedule. The workday finishes at 8 pm.  A ROTA schedule could be discussed. 

This is a live-in position with a separate room provided in the client’s house for the working days.

The family travel frequently, therefore a candidate who enjoys travelling is essential. 

The salary on offer is £4000 – £4300 per month and will depend on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. 

Priority will be given to candidates who are already located in Moscow or those who are able to enter in Russia with a valid visa.
