The Role
Full-time English-speaking Governor required for B4 & B6, located in Abuja, Nigeria. Salary £1,300 – £1,900 gross per week. Live-in. Start ASAP.
A Nigerian family located in Abuja is seeking an educated and experienced Governor to join their family and support the education and development of their two boys.
As a Governor, you will take responsibility for the boys’ education, planning and delivering lessons, activities, and structured learning opportunities, as well as arranging daily schedules and routines to maximise their educational development. The main duties will commence when the boys finish school each day.
The boys are very active and have a particular love of sport, especially football. They speak French, English, and Arabic, so speaking either French or Arabic would be highly beneficial to your application.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher, holding at least a PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, and will be highly organised and confident taking the lead in planning and delivering the boys’ education. You should also be happy to assist with wider childcare duties when required. A genuine passion for sport, particularly football, would be highly beneficial.
The family travels internationally on a regular basis, spending time in London and the USA, and the successful candidate will be required to travel with them.
The working schedule is 6/1 with Sundays off, covering up to 10 hours per day when required. During times of travel and school holidays, the hours will change, so full flexibility is required.
This is a live-in position with a private room provided within the family home.
The salary is £1,300 – £1,900 gross per week.
