The Role
Full-time English & French-speaking Governess required for B5 & B7, located in Paris, France. Salary €67,000 – €83,000 gross per annum. Live-out, starting August 31st.
A Qatari family who recently relocated to Paris is seeking a highly experienced English & French-speaking Governess to join their family and support their two active boys with their education.
As a Governess, you will support the boys’ educational development while helping them settle into their new life and surroundings. A key focus of the role will be providing French language immersion through everyday conversation, activities, and experiences, helping the boys to develop their confidence and fluency in French in a natural and engaging way.
You will plan and lead fun, stimulating activities around the city, introducing the boys to their new environment and helping them feel comfortable and settled in their new schools. Alongside this, you will oversee their academic routines, ensure homework is completed to a high standard, liaise with tutors and school teachers, and provide lessons across all core subjects.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with previous experience working within private schools in Paris. They will have a strong understanding of the French educational environment and be confident supporting the boys as they settle into their new school and surroundings. Experience working with children in an international or multilingual environment, alongside a warm, engaging, and adaptable approach, would be highly valued.
The family travels internationally, and you will be required to travel with them.
This is a live-out position; a studio apartment can be provided for the right candidate if they are not located in the city.
The working schedule is 5/2, with weekends worked. During the week, the boys finish school at 3:40 pm, when your duties will start and continue until around 8:00/9:00 pm. Weekend days will be approximately 8 hours per day.
