Full-time – Guardian (live in)

Full-time English & German speaking Guardian required in Munich, Germany for G16, salary €5000 – €6000 gross per month, Live-in, start ASAP

An Australian family living between Munich and Melbourne is seeking a responsible, supportive, and academically minded live-in Guardian to provide stability and guidance for their 16-year-old daughter during the school year.

This position is only suitable for candidates who hold a passport from an EU member state.

The student is a bright, independent, and motivated young woman who has recently begun the IB Diploma Programme at Munich International School.

The student does not require day-to-day childcare, but benefits from structured mentorship, encouragement, and academic oversight, alongside a stable and trusted adult presence.

As a guardian, you will provide structure, academic oversight, and encouragement to support the student’s success. You will be experienced with the IB curriculum. You will help the student stay motivated and organised by monitoring homework and study routines, ensuring accountability. You will also act as a supportive liaison with the school and teachers when needed. In addition, the guardian will encourage healthy routines, including simple meal preparation, while serving as a positive role model and trusted adult presence in the student’s daily life.

The student is a beginner in German. Part of your role will be to provide a few hours of German lessons each week and to immerse her in the language while living together.

The working schedule will cover 30 hours per week, with lots of downtime during the day school breaks.

With only a few hours required each day, as the student will often be studying or spending time with friends.
