Full-time – Head Housekeeper/Chef

Full-time Head Housekeeper/Chef required in Amsterdam, Netherlands, £60,000 – £70,000 gross per annum, Start ASAP.

A lovely client is seeking a professional, friendly, and experienced Head Housekeeper/Chef to assist with the organisation and running of their family home. 

You will ideally be able to provide combined services as Head Housekeeper and Chef.

As a Head Housekeeper, you will undertake daily duties to maintain the household. Responsibilities will include general upkeep of the family home, assisting with daily cleaning, washing, laundry, ironing, and maintaining the household to a high standard. 

In addition you will run errands for the family, oversee contractors, and inventory control and ensure the smooth running of the family home. 

The family has a dog and you will be required to walk it each day. 

As a chef, you will be required to prepare a healthy well-balanced meal for the family each evening. 

The family has 1 small child aged 2, you will be required to offer a babysitting service once a week. 

The ideal candidate will be warm, friendly, cheerful, have a good eye for detail, and be willing to assist the family in any way needed. You will have past experience working with children. You should have excellent organisational and time management skills, be friendly and approachable in your approach, and work in a calm and professional manner. The family seeks candidates with a hands-on and flexible approach and someone who likes to go the extra mile. Previous experience in such roles is required. 

International travel is required.

The working schedule will be working 6 days per week with split shifts covering a morning period and also an afternoon/evening schedule. Your day off will be a Saturday. 

This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided therefore only suitable for candidates located in Amsterdam.
