Full-time English-speaking Rota Governess required for G6 & G5, located in Chigwell, UK. Salary £65,000 – £75,000 gross per annum. Live-out. Start ASAP.
A warm and welcoming family based in Chigwell is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Governess to support the care, education, and overall development of their two daughters aged 6 and 5.
As a Governess, you will take the lead in the children’s educational and personal development, ensuring they continue to thrive both academically and socially. You will support their school learning, assist with homework, reinforce classroom topics, and plan engaging educational activities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love of learning. In addition, you will act as a positive role model, helping to instil excellent manners, kindness, respect, and confidence in every aspect of the children’s daily lives.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Teacher with a thorough understanding of the UK education system and previous experience working in private households or as a Governess. The family is seeking a candidate with high expectations and standards of behaviour, manners, and kindness, who adopts a firm but fair approach to childcare. An interest in sport and music is highly desirable, and the successful candidate will be enthusiastic about encouraging the children’s participation in a wide range of extracurricular activities.
The working schedule will be 1 week on / 1 week off, working up to 12 hours per day, providing full support throughout your working rota. Flexibility is required during periods of travel.
A private bedroom within the family home will be provided whilst on duty. As flights are not provided, candidates must already be located within a reasonable commuting distance.

Requirements:
Experienced English-speaking Governess
Qualified Teacher with knowledge of the UK curriculum
Previous Governess or private household experience preferred
High expectations of behaviour, manners, and kindness
