The Role
A lovely family located in Dubai is seeking an experienced Governess/Shadow Teacher to provide dedicated educational and developmental support to their 9-year-old daughter, attending school alongside her each day.
The role will focus on providing consistent one-to-one support within the classroom, helping the child remain focused, engaged and confident throughout the school day. Duties will include assisting with classwork, reinforcing key concepts, adapting learning approaches to suit her individual needs and supporting positive participation and independence. The Governess/Shadow Teacher will work closely with teachers, parents and other relevant professionals to monitor progress, identify areas requiring additional support and maintain a consistent approach between school and home.
Outside of school hours, responsibilities will include supporting homework and established routines, reinforcing classroom learning and planning educational activities and extracurricular experiences that complement the child’s wider development. The family has two other children; however, the role will be solely focused on the 9-year-old.
The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive and highly attuned to individual learning needs, with 5+ years of relevant experience in a Governess, Shadow Teacher, Learning Support or similar education-focused role. The successful candidate will ideally hold an LSA certificate, teaching qualification or other relevant educational certification, with proven experience supporting children of a similar age within a classroom environment.
This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided. Therefore only suitable for candidates already located in Dubai. The working schedule will be 6 days per week, working from 7am to 7pm
Package:
Salary: 25,000 AED – 30,000 AED per month
6-day working schedule
