Full-time – Domestic Couple (live in)

Full-time English-speaking Domestic Couple Required – Housekeeper/Cook & Butler/Gardener, located in Central London, UK. Salary £80,000 – £85,000 Gross Per Annum (Combined), start ASAP.

A returning client based in Central London is seeking an experienced and professional Domestic Couple to join their household. This is an excellent long-term opportunity working for a warm and respectful family with one child, an 8-year-old girl. The family leads an international lifestyle and travels regularly between London, the South of France, and New York.

The first role is for a Housekeeper/Cook, responsible for maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the home and preparing wholesome, well-balanced meals for the household. The ideal candidate will enjoy cooking and be confident preparing three meals per day, including a cooked evening meal. While a professional chef is not required, the family values fresh, healthy meals prepared to a high standard.

In addition to cooking, responsibilities will include assisting with general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry, and helping to ensure the home remains well organised and welcoming. The role will also involve supporting the morning routine of the family’s daughter, assisting her with getting ready for the day and escorting her to school.

The second role is for a Butler/Gardener, responsible for delivering a high standard of service within the household. The butler will provide formal service when required, particularly during dinner parties and when entertaining guests. Strong organisational skills, discretion, and a polished presentation are essential.

Alongside butler duties, the role will include supporting the upkeep of the garden and outdoor areas. Responsibilities will also involve collecting the family’s daughter from school, escorting her to after-school activities, and safely bringing her home. The family has a dog, and assistance with the dog’s care will also be required.

During periods when the principal is travelling, the couple may occasionally be required to provide sole care of the child. The family also travels regularly and the couple will accompany them at times, supporting the smooth running of the household in each location.

The working schedule is Monday to Friday, with up to 12 hours per day. Occasionally, additional assistance may be required during dinner parties or weekend entertaining; however, time off in lieu will always be provided.

This is a live-in position in Central London, with a large private studio apartment provided within the family home, featuring a separate entrance for privacy. While travelling, separate accommodation will be provided, including a private apartment in New York and a separate cottage at the family’s residence in the South of France.
