The Role
Full-time English-speaking Governess required for B5 located in Paris, France, salary €1400 gross per week, live-out. Start immediately.
This role is only suitable for candidates holding a passport from an EU member state and already located in Paris.
A returning Canadian/French family, located in Paris, is seeking a qualified, professional, experienced and energetic Governess for their son aged 5.
The young boy is well behaved and currently speaks French and English. The family are looking for a great mentor who is able to enhance the boy’s pronunciation and immerse him in the English language.
As a Governess, your focus will be on the boy’s English language abilities and ensuring his pronunciation is correct. You will be required to provide a fun, interactive environment where the boy can thrive and develop. The young boy attends pre-school each day and will be starting school next year. During this time, you will be required to tidy his room, prepare healthy meals for him and plan any educational materials required.
The family has another governess who has been with the family for some time. You will work alongside her to ensure the young boy has everything he needs and is thriving.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher holding a minimum of a PGCE/QTS and have extensive experience working with children of this age, along with previous experience of working in private households.
The working schedule is 5/2, working every other Saturday. The working hours will be approximately 50 hours per week, starting at 7 am during the week to prepare the young boy for pre-school, duties will resume once he returns.
This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided, therefore only suited to candidates already located in Paris.
