The Role
Full-time English-speaking Governess required for B6, located in Limassol, Cyprus. Salary €1,300 gross per week, live-out. Start ASAP.
A family located in Limassol is seeking an educated and experienced Governess to join their family and assist with the daily care and educational development of their 6-year-old son.
As a Governess, your primary focus will be on the boy’s education, providing English immersion through daily conversation, interactive games, reading and engaging, age-appropriate educational activities. As he attends an international school daily, you will complement his school-based learning by encouraging him to communicate confidently in English, reinforcing his studies and creating a natural English-speaking environment outside the classroom. You will also support his daily routine, promote good behaviour and teach etiquette.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified primary school teacher with experience working with children of a similar age and a strong background in English language development and immersion. Knowledge of the IB curriculum would be advantageous, as would a proven track record of long-term placements within private families. The successful candidate will be warm, engaging and proactive, able to make learning English enjoyable while supporting the boy’s academic progress, confidence and overall development.
The working schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off, working 6–7 hours per day. Flexibility is required during periods of travel.
The family travels regularly, and you will be required to travel with them.
The salary on offer is €1,300 gross per week.
This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided; therefore, it is only suitable for candidates located nearby.
