The Role
Full-time English-speaking Rota Governess required for two girls aged 5 and 7, located in Dubai, UAE. Salary 25,000-30,000 AED per month. 2 weeks on/off, live-in. Start ASAP.
A family based in Dubai is seeking a qualified, experienced and engaging Rota Governess to support their two daughters, aged 5 and 7, with their education, development and day-to-day routines.
As a Governess, you will take responsibility for supporting the girls’ academic and personal development, working closely with their school curriculum and providing additional educational support where required. Duties will include assisting with homework and school projects, encouraging strong study habits, planning age-appropriate educational activities and supporting the children’s wider interests and development.
You will work alongside the family’s Nanny, with some overlap between the two roles. Responsibilities will include helping the children get ready for school, accompanying them to and from school, supporting morning and evening routines and assisting with general childcare duties where required. The Governess should be comfortable taking a hands-on approach and working collaboratively to ensure consistency across the children’s care and education.
The working schedule is 2 weeks on/off, providing 24/7 cover should either child wake or require assistance during the night.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with strong experience supporting children of a similar age within private households. The family are looking for someone warm, energetic, organised and educationally focused, who can act as a positive role model and build a strong relationship with both children.
An additional language of French, Spanish or Latin is required.
International travel will form part of the role, and candidates must be flexible and comfortable accompanying the family when required.
Accommodation will be provided while on duty, and the family will provide flights to and from the placement for each rotation.

Requirements:
English-speaking Governess
Qualified Teacher (PGCE/QTS)
Experience with children of a similar age
Additional language of French, Spanish or Latin
Strong academic and educational background
Comfortable working alongside a Nanny
Hands-on and flexible approach to childcare
Confident providing overnight care when required
Flexible to travel internationally
Able to start ASAP
