Part-time – Governess/Governor

Part-Time English-speaking Governess/Governor required for B4 located in Moscow 4000-5000 Rub per hour, start ASAP.

A highly recommended Russian family is seeking an English-speaking Governess/Governor for their son aged 4 1/2 years to assist with education and recreational activities.

As a Governess/Governor you will be responsible for the day-to-day upbringing of the child; promoting good behaviour, teaching etiquette and educating the child. You will be required to provide an introduction to the English language in a fun, interactive manner. The child does not attend kindergarten and therefore classes should be in line with early years, to help prepare him for when he attends. The focus should be also made on preparation for school (Reading, writing, counting and communication skills). The young boy has been learning English for the past 2 years with native speakers and has a good understanding of the English language. He likes interactive activities, loves drawing, modelling, memorizing poems & songs.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, friendly & flexible professional teacher, who is able to engage the child in a fun and relaxed manner. The candidate will be experienced with this age range and previously worked in private households. Qualifications such as TEFL/CELTA as a minimum are required. An interest and ability to teach sports, art and music would be beneficial to your application.

The working schedule – 2-hour classes, 2 times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 until 12:00.

The family is located in Moscow, the nearest metro station is Frunzenskaya (3 min walking distance).

This position is only suitable for candidates already based in Moscow.
