Full-time English-speaking Governess/Teacher required in Abuja, Nigeria, for two children aged 8 & 9. Salary £5000 per month. Start ASAP.
A high-profile family is seeking an adventurous, energetic, friendly and professional Governess/Teacher to assist and promote the education and learning of the two children.
The children currently attend a British International school and are achieving good grades.
As a Governess/Teacher your primary focus will be on providing academic support to the children. This will involve tutoring in the core subjects (Maths & Science) as well as advancing their reading and essay writing. You will be required to prepare the children for entrance exams for top UK schools.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (PGCE/MA/QTS) with experience in teaching the British curriculum. Experience working in private households is essential. The children require assistance with entry exams; experience in such exams is a bonus. Speaking French and/or the ability to play the piano or guitar will be beneficial to your application.
The working schedule is 6/1 with a day off during the week. The working hours will be from 11 am – 8 pm Tuesday – Friday and 10 am – 8 pm Saturday and Sunday.
The family travels and spends a lot of time in the USA
This is a Live-in/out position with a separate bedroom provided within the family home, the family is open to providing external accommodation for the right candidate.
The salary on offer is £5000 per month.
