Full-time English-speaking Governess/Governor required in Lagos, Nigeria, for B5 & B9, £1000 – £1500 per week, Start ASAP
A high-profile family is seeking an adventurous, energetic and friendly Governess/Governor to care for their two children aged 5 and 9.
As a Governess/Governor, you will be required to meet all of the daily needs of the children. You will be responsible for providing a high level of care, meeting both daily routines and developmental milestones. You will be required to provide fun, engaging lessons to enhance and promote education. Preparation may be required for exams/school entry in the future.
Duties will include getting the children up and prepared for the day, mealtimes, cleanliness, bath time and bedtime. You will provide an interactive learning environment for them to promote all areas of development.
The children enjoy outside activities and horse riding.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified candidate (BA in Education) with experience of working within primary education and delivering additional classes. Previous experience of working in private homes is essential. This position would suit an experienced Governess/Governess looking for a new challenge. The Governess/Governor should be confident, outgoing, friendly and hard-working with a hands-on proactive approach to their role. The ability to speak French is desirable but not essential.
The working schedule is 6 days per week – from 7 am to 8 pm (Monday – Saturday). The boys attend school from 8 am – 2 pm.
The position is based on Banana Island, Ikoyi in Lagos, Nigeria.
This is a Live-out role with a separate staff apartment provided, shared with 2 other team members. All rooms are ensuite. Live in will be required if the parents are away on business.
The salary on offer is from £1000 – £1500 per week.
