Full-time – Governess (live in)

Full-time English-speaking Governess required for B5 and G7, located in California, USA. Salary $5000 – $6000 per month, Live-in, Start June 2022.

This position is only suitable for candidates who already hold a USA passport or green card.

A Russian family relocating to Los Altos, California is seeking an experienced English-speaking Governess to join their family and educate their two young children.

As a Governess your main responsibilities will be to homeschool the two children; plan and provide structured classes, fun, engaging activities and interactive sessions in line with the American curriculum. In addition to this, you will act as an appropriate role model/mentor to them as well as promote good manners, teach etiquette and promote learning at every opportunity. You will have your own classroom within the family home.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher/governess with at least 3 years of experience working in similar roles. You will be confident in tutoring and mentoring to this age range and be experienced with the American curriculum. Previous experience of working within private households is required. 

The ideal candidate a kind and attentive governess who can instil a love of learning, be active and creative, with a passion for education.

The working schedule will be from 8 am – 5 pm, working Monday – Friday (weekends off)

This is a live-in position with a private bedroom provided within the family home.

The family travel often and you will be required to travel with them.
