A French/Australian family residing in Melbourne is seeking an energetic, caring, passionate, committed and flexible French-speaking Governess to provide care for twins aged 2 years old.
As a Governess you will be responsible for the children’s care, development and education, primarily focusing on the twins. You will be required to provide support to the twins in developing an understanding of the French language. They are both already fluent in the French language and require support with conversation. There are 2 older children in the house whom you will offer tutoring sessions twice a week, along with homework assistance and extracurricular activities.
The family has nannies in the household that you will work alongside to take care of the children. Time will be allocated to provide individual tutoring sessions to each of the children during the week.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher holding a minimum of a PGCE/QTS or MA, along with previous experience of working in private households.
The family travels on a regular basis and you will be required to travel with them.
The working schedule will be 6 days per week with Saturdays and Sundays as full working days. Weekdays will not be full working days. Working up to 35 hours per week.
This is a live-out position, accommodation can be provided.
The salary on offer is AU$1400 per week.
