Full-time SEN Governess required for G9 & G11, located in London. Salary £60,000 gross per annum. Start ASAP
A lovely client located in Notting Hill, London is seeking a professional caring and energetic special needs governess to assist in the care and education of their two children aged 9 and 11.
As a Governess your main focus will be on the youngest girl who is neurodiverse, you will be responsible for meeting the academic and social aspects of the girl’s life. A sensory-oriented, serene fun-loving environment needs to be created where the child feels safe to actively learn. Duties will include: academic support, classes, life skills and providing homework support
The oldest girl is preparing for her 11+ and will require some guidance and support with her studies.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified special educational needs governess who has previously worked in private households, providing 1:1 support. Special education techniques are needed for academic progress therefore knowledge and experience in this field is essential along with experience and qualifications working with children on the autistic spectrum. Characteristics and personality should include passionate, kind, caring, energetic, hard-working, professional yet fun, engaging and willing to support the family. Being a confident driver is essential for this role.
The working schedule is working from Tuesday – Sunday. Weekday hours will be from 4.30 pm – 7.30 pm and weekends will be full working days. Every other weekend is spent in Oxfordshire. From January the working schedule will be 5/2.
The family travel during school holidays and you will be required to travel with them, flexibility is required.
This is a live out position with no accommodation provided, therefore only suitable to candidates already located in London.
Salary on offer is £60,000 gross per annum
