The Role
Part-time Mothers help required for G6, G11 & B9, located close to Bath, £15 – £20 per hour gross, Start ASAP.
A busy family residing on the outskirts of Bath is seeking a friendly, professional, caring Mothers help to assist in the care of their three children.
As a Mothers help, you will be responsible for meeting the children’s daily needs with the main focus on transporting the children to and from school. Additional tasks will include getting them ready for school and organised. You will support their development and encourage learning through activities – with a large part of your day spent in the car, songs, and games as you drive to make the journey fun. Homework support may be required and discussions about the school day on the return journey. The focus will be on making the journeys to school safe and fun.
The family has a very busy household and they are seeking a candidate who acts like a mother’s help – hanging out the washing, loading the dishwasher, getting the children organised, and generally assisting the mother with the daily tasks of having three children. The family has a housekeeper. You may be required to undertake some additional duties including, communicating with the children’s school, making appointments, running errands and assisting in the smooth running of the children’s daily schedule.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, energetic, kind, and well mannered – someone who is capable of adapting to the family needs and happy to get involved, working as a mother’s help to ensure the smooth running of the home. Childcare and/or education qualifications are required and experience of working with 3 children. An interest in sports will be beneficial. Being a confident driver is essential.
This is a live out position, ideally suitable to someone close by to the family home who can come daily.
A confident driver is essential for this role, as a large part of the day involves driving the children to their schools, which takes some time.
The working hours will commence in the morning at 7 am – 8.30 am for the school runs (Bath or Shepton Mallet area). The school runs commence again from 3.30 pm, although some days will be later and you agreed until 5.30pm due to after-school clubs. The working hours will be approx 20 – 32 hours per week.
The core working schedule is 5 days per week. The family does require help on Saturdays too and this should be available if/when required and will be agreed in advance.
The family will not require you during the children’s school holidays.
The salary on offer is from £300 – £500 gross per week. The salary will reflect the working hours. The lower end will be for school runs – morning and evening.
