Temporary Chef required in Central London, salary £50,000 gross per annum, live-in, starting ASAP (6-month contract).
A family residing in Central London is seeking a creative chef to join their household and cater to their family’s needs.
As a Chef, you will be expected to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner most days for the family. There may also be lunch or dinner parties for up to 10 guests occasionally. The family has a preference for British, French, and Italian cuisine. Responsibilities include menu planning, grocery shopping, overseeing the budget, pantry management, maintaining and cleaning the kitchen, and assisting with additional duties within the home such as overseeing contractors, paying invoices, running errands, accepting deliveries, and shopping. You will also need to work effectively as part of the household team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in private homes and the ability to cater to the family’s requirements with professionalism. It is essential that the candidate is calm, flexible, and mild-mannered, and capable of working respectfully alongside the other household staff.
The working schedule is five days per week, Monday to Friday, working 50 hours per week. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 9 am, and dinner from 8 pm to 10 pm.
This is a live-in position with a one-bedroom apartment provided on the lower ground floor of the family home, with a separate entrance.
The initial contract for this role will be for 6-months with the view to extend after this period.
This position is only open to candidates currently based in London.
