Temporary – Governess (live in)

Temporary English speaking Governess required for G7 & G9 located in Tuscany, Italy. £1000 – £1300 per week. Start July 2023 (2 months contract)

A returning family residing in Tuscany, Italy is seeking an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Governess to promote the language development of their 2 daughters who have a beginner’s level of English.

As a Governess you will be required to assist with the girls development by providing educational games, play, activities, classes as well as meeting their daily needs and routines. You will arrange interesting summer activities and escort to/from extracurricular activities.

In addition you will encourage development, share mealtimes, promote good behavior, teach etiquette, assist with daily care and be a positive role model. Light cooking may be required occasionally and you will need to maintain the order of the girls’ rooms/belongings.

There are other household staff in the home and you will be required to work with them. The candidate has to be confident in sole charge as proxy parenting may be required when the parents are away.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Governess with childcare/education qualifications with an outgoing personality. The family is sporty and athletic and seeks a candidate with shared values. Ability to speak Russian is beneficial to your application.

The working schedule will be 6 days on / 1 day off (negotiable), working up to 12 hours a day.

This is a live-in position with a private room provided in the family house.

The family is spending the summer in Tuscany for 2 months.

For the right candidate, a full time contract could be considered, in St.Petersburg, Russia.

The salary on offer is from £1000 – £1300 per week and will reflect the skills, experience and qualifications of the candidate.
