The Role
Full-time English-speaking Rota Governess required for G12 & G8, located in Dubai, UAE, live in, £300 per day. Start ASAP
A father located in Dubai is seeking an energetic, professional, caring and highly organised Governess for his two children to assist in their care and education as well as assisting with the smooth running of the household.
As a Governess, you will be responsible for meeting the daily needs of the girls, providing a high standard of care within a nurturing environment, following an already established routine and schedule, and ensuring the children are reaching all age-appropriate milestones. You will also be required to escort the children to and from school, work closely with the school, attend meetings with the teachers, provide the father with progress reports, assist with homework, ordering school supplies and organising both children’s schedules.
Additional duties include making reservations for restaurants, planning fun excursions on family trips, encouraging positive behaviors, and ensuring the children have support and care in the family home.
The household is fully staffed and you will be required to work as a team.
The 8 year old is a very girly girl and enjoys hobbies such as horse riding. The 12 year old is very sporty and enjoys indoor skydiving. Both children ski, being a confident skier is preferred for this role as the family holidays are spent in the mountains.
The ideal candidate will have relevant childcare qualifications and solid experience working in private households. The Governess should be friendly, active, flexible and highly organised.
The working schedule will be working on rotation, working 2 weeks on/off providing 24 hour cover when required. You will be required to ensure you are up before the children.
This is a live-in position with a private room and bathroom provided in the family home while on shift. Ideally, the client seeks a candidate who is ready located in Dubai.
The salary on offer is £300 per day. The daily rate is paid only for working days.
