Full-time – Rota Governess (live in)

Full-time English-speaking Rota Governess required for B7 and twin girls aged 9, located on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia. Salary £270 – £350 per day. Start ASAP

A nice returning Russian family is seeking an energetic, professional, caring, and experienced Governess for their 7-year-old son and 9-year-old twin girls to assist in their care, learning, and development.

As a Governess you will be responsible for the children’s education; supporting their current school programs, offering further subject mentoring, educational development and homework assistance. You will be required to encourage them to be as independent as possible with their learning and to promote a positive attitude toward self-development.

All three children study at the International School, they already have a good understanding of the English language and are learning French. The Governess will be required to further develop and improve the children’s English skills through daily interaction and activities, and, more importantly, will be responsible for their cultural development and learning beyond school. Therefore knowledge in such fields as culture, music, history or sport will be beneficial in your application.

In addition to this, you will act as an appropriate role model/mentor to the children and promote good manners, teach etiquette and promote a healthy lifestyle. You will assist with wake-up, dressing, mealtimes, accompanying to and from school, cleanliness and bedtimes. You will work in shifts with another Governess and will have sole charge of three children during your working shift. The house is fully staffed so there are no cleaning or cooking duties required.

The ideal candidate will have an energetic and intelligent nature who is responsible and confident in being a sole carer. A friendly and caring personality is essential to build a long-lasting bond and trust with the charges as well as being organised. Educational qualifications are desirable for the position along with previous experience of working in private households. The ability to speak Russian and French is desirable for this role.  

The working schedule will be two weeks on/ two weeks off working on a Rota basis.

This is a live-in position while on duty providing 24-hour care. A private room is provided in the client’s house. Flights or a separate apartment are provided for shifts off if required 

The family travel frequently, therefore a candidate who enjoys travelling is essential.

The salary on offer is £270 – £350 per day (paid only for days on) and will depend on the skills and qualifications of the candidate.

Priority will be given to candidates who are already based in Moscow.
