Full-time English-speaking SEN Governess/Governor required for B6, located in Dubai, UAE, salary £1500 per week. Live out, Start ASAP.
A lovely family located in Dubai is seeking a highly experienced, qualified, and professional SEN Governess/Governor to assist with the social and academic support of their son. The young boy has epilepsy and this has had an impact on his education and meeting his milestones. He also has Autism and often struggles to stay focused for long periods while at school.
As an SEN Governess/Governor, you will assist and organise the daily schedule of the boy and support his education. You will be required to attend school daily with him to provide 1-to-1 support during his day. In addition to this you will be required to work closely with his medical professionals and implement any exercises that have been set for him, and coordinate with his teachers. You will provide the parents with progress reports and regular updates. In addition to this, you will encourage positive relationships with peers, and overall promote a healthy lifestyle. You will encourage the young boy to be independent and proactive. The young boy is very active and enjoys being outside.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEN Governess/Governor who is a qualified teacher, holding at least a PGCE/QTS/MA or equivalent. Good administrative and organisational skills are essential, along with a friendly and creative personality. Experience with Montessori methods and working with SEN is essential.
This is a live-out position with separate accommodation provided close to the family home if the candidate requires it.
The family are keen to find a candidate who is willing to commit long-term to make a positive impact on the boy’s life.
The working schedule will be 5 days per week working Monday – Friday working up to 10 hours per day. Flexibility is required.
