The Role
Full-time Native English-speaking Teacher required for B14, located in Miami, USA & Paris, France, Salary £83,000 – £103,000 per annum, start ASAP.
An American family located in Miami & Paris is seeking a highly experienced, qualified and professional teacher to provide a home-schooling environment for their teenage son aged 14.
The boy shows signs of ADHD and is starting to fall behind his peers following the traditional teaching method he receives at school. They are seeking a fun and engaging teacher to replicate his school curriculum and redesign it based on his learning abilities and interests.
The boy is intelligent and enjoys hobbies such as photography and skateboarding.
As a teacher, your main responsibility will be to plan and provide fun classes, and engaging activities based on the American curriculum. In addition to this, you will act as an appropriate role model/mentor as well as promote good manners, teach etiquette and promote learning at every opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS) with previous experience of working in a private household. Past experience and success in achieving good results with teenage children is desirable.
The family are based in Miami for 6 months of the year and Paris for the remainder of 6 months. The role is therefore only suitable to candidates who hold both an American passport and the right to work in the EU.
This is a live-out position with private accommodation provided in both locations.
The working schedule will be 5 days on and 2 days off (weekends off). The working hours will be from 9 am until 3.30 pm.
International travel is required on a regular basis.
