A private family is seeking a professional and experienced Domestic Couple to oversee the smooth running, maintenance, and presentation of their private estate. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a dedicated couple looking to join a well-managed household and work within a beautiful estate environment.
The successful couple will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards at all times. Working alongside existing staff, you will manage the day-to-day upkeep of the estate, support household operations, and provide a seamless service when the family is in residence.
One candidate will take responsibility for housekeeping, laundry management, garment care, ironing, and meal preparation, ensuring the residence is presented impeccably at all times.
The other candidate will oversee the maintenance, supervision, and general upkeep of the estate and its outbuildings. Responsibilities will include coordinating contractors, obtaining quotations, supervising works, monitoring invoices, managing supplies and inventory, and liaising with the family’s administrative office regarding organisational matters.
Together, the couple will assist with the organisation of formal dinners and receptions, provide high-standard table service, care for valuable artworks, oversee the preservation of the property, and undertake occasional driving duties and errands when required. There may also be some supervision of domestic staff.
The family is seeking a discreet, proactive, and highly organised couple with previous experience working within private households or estates. Candidates must be fluent Spanish speakers and hold valid driving licences. Additional language skills would be considered a strong advantage.
The working schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility required depending on the family’s residence and the needs of the estate. Working hours are generally more relaxed when the family is away. Flexibility will be required for occasional events, receptions, and periods when the family is in residence. Any additional hours worked will be compensated with additional time off.
Separate accommodation is provided within the estate and comprises two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and private terrace.
