Full-time English-speaking Governess/Teacher required for 4 children B10, G13, B14 & B15 located in Astana, Kazakhstan. Salary £1200 – £1300 per week, Start ASAP.
A family from Kazakhstan is seeking a highly professional, skilled and friendly Governess/Teacher who is confident in teaching, supporting and mentoring their children.
As a Governess/Teacher, your primary focus will be on providing academic support to the children. This will involve tutoring in all core subjects in the English language as well as advancing their speaking skills, critical thinking, reading and essay writing. You will be required to prepare the children for top worldwide University entrance exams and develop their intellectual interests. The children are very keen learners and the ability to promote their skills to the highest standard is expected. The parents are also interested in improving their level of English and may require classes when they have spare time.
This position is ideally suited to a qualified secondary teacher (PGCE) with experience of teaching the British curriculum. Experience of working in private households is essential. The children need assistance with entry exams and therefore experience in these exams is desirable. An interest in science and speaking an additional language (French or Russian) will also be beneficial to your application.
The working schedule will be 6 days per week, up to 50 working hours per week. Day off will be provided on a weekday. On weekdays working hours will commence after school and into the evening (with flexibility required). Saturday & Sunday will be full working days. Flexibility will be much appreciated.
This is a live-in position with a private room with it’s own bathroom provided in a separate wing of the Client’s house.
International travel with the family will be required.
