Part-time Teacher/Mentor required for G15, located in Dubai, UAE, £50 – £90 per hour. Live out, Start ASAP.
A returning client is seeking a highly experienced, qualified, and professional Teacher/Mentor to assist with academic support for their 15-year-old daughter, to oversee her learning, and ensure she remains on track for her exams.
The teenage girl attends an international school in Dubai and is currently in year 10. She is preparing for her GCSE exams this year, with a focus on English, Maths, Biology, Physics, History, Spanish, and particularly Art.
As a Teacher/Mentor, you will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with the school (via chat and emails), attending parent-teacher meetings on behalf of the parents, monitoring the timely submission of school projects, and relaying any necessary information regarding school fees. You will also be required to mentor and monitor the student’s progress with her school curriculum and homework, prepare her for upcoming exams, and teach additional classes when necessary. In addition, you will be responsible for organising her schedule and maintaining communication with the drivers and other household staff.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and qualified Teacher/Mentor with a solid understanding of the British curriculum and a strong background in GCSE exam preparation. Previous experience working with teenagers in private households is essential. The ability to support the Arts is beneficial. The role requires excellent administrative and organisational skills, as well as a professional, friendly, and creative personality.
The family is based in Jumeirah Islands, Dubai.
This is a live-out position with no accommodation or visa provided; therefore only suitable for candidates who are already based in Dubai.
Taxi expenses to and from work will be covered.
The working schedule will be 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). The role involves approximately 15 hours of work per week, working after school hours. The exact working hours are open to negotiation. Much of the support can be provided remotely, with 2-3 in-person sessions per week to meet with the student and conduct classes.
